About Me
I’m Adam and I’m a fully qualified Integrative Counsellor and Psychologist and also have over 20 years experience working as a mental health and addiction mentor.
My own journey into working as a mental health practitioner and Counsellor stemmed from overcoming my own difficulties that began as a result of my childhood and affected me until my early thirties, when I finally found the courage to ask for help from a counsellor. That was the turning point for me and I’ve never looked back. Building a trusting relationship with my counsellor allowed me to talk about and resolve all of the painful and complex issues that I had struggled with for so many years.
My positive and life changing experience of personal therapy inspired me to become passionate about using all of those life experiences and extensive theoretical and practical training to help others.
I understand that reaching out for help is a big step and something that takes courage because it’s not easy for anyone to admit that they are struggling with life. You are not alone. More people than ever are struggling with many different aspects of their mental health and well-being, but because mental health is not talked about openly like physical health you can feel alone and isolated. Asking for help is the pathway towards getting well and overcoming your difficulties.
Sometimes my clients are in crisis when they reach out to me and feel trapped and unable to move on from painful thoughts and feelings and other clients are feeling lost or stuck or struggling to bring meaning and purpose to their lives. I have helped many individuals just like you to overcome their problems and difficulties and to bring closure to often long standing painful experiences and memories.
